In Bloom

I thought that this would make a really pretty picture when I saw the blossoms. I was at a wedding in New Jersey and I was sitting under a tree full of blossoms. It was beautiful. I used my mom's camera to take the picture then used Picnik to boost the colours.

Hmm... It says to tell deviantART about myself, so where to start? My name is Christina and I enjoy Cinema Bizarre, art, and a whole lot of other things you probably don't care about. Really, what is the point about these kinds of boxes? Nobody cares about the artist unless they're stalkers or true appretiators of art. Why bother telling you about myself, because you know what? You probably don't even care...

The Green Toothbrush

Mon Aug 24, 2009, 7:40 PM
Yep. So this is my first journal entry. Big woop. It can't be that exciting and you probably won't read it the whole way through, but whatever.

So yesterday I'm in my bathroom and I look at my toothbrush I got the month before, and the bristles are not their normal colours of white and pink. Oh, no; instead, they've got this greenish tinge to them. I just look at it then walk over to my mom in the next room. "MOM!" I say, toothbrush clutched in hand. "Why is my toothbrush GREEN?"
She just looks at the green toothbrush and continues her work on the computer after looking at it. I hear the "I don't knows," the "maybe it was something you were eating last nights," yada yada yada...

There were only two options left. Donny, my brother a year younger than me, or Micah, the 5 year old king of mischieve and mayhem. "DONNY!!!! WHY IS MY TOOTHBRUSH GREEN?" I say after marching all the way up the stairs and into his room.
He looks at me and laughs. "I thought that you would blame me for that."
"So you did this then?"
"Nope. Maybe it was Micah."
Micah is asleep in bed, so I ask him in the morning what happened.

"Micah? Did you use my toothbrush yesterday?"
"Yeah."
"Why is it green?"
"I used it to clean the piano. There was green marker on it, so I had to clean it."

Darn, darn, darn. Out of all of the possible things that the kid could have used to clean a piano with, he uses MY toothbrush of all things to clean it? This from the kid who leaves a path of destruction wherever he goes?

At least the kid is honest, but WHY IN THE WORLD DID HE DECIDE TO CLEAN THE PIANO WITH MY TOOTHBRUSH? Now I have a green toothbrush that I'm not willing to stick into my mouth, let alone CLEAN my mouth with.

Haha, nice to see there's someone else who love Bryan Davis' writing as much as I. Have you read the whole DioM/OoF books yet??
:iconkaneesharox:
YES! I've read all of them of course; even the Echoes from the Edge series. I love them all!

:iconmidnighttopha:
I've not read EftE. Are they as good as DioM???
You on the forum there??
:iconkaneesharox:
I'm not on the forum, but EFTE is pretty good. Its set toward a slightly older audience than DIOM, but its really interesting. Sorry it took me so long to respond, I've been busy and the computer at my friend's house has been down.

I might get EFtE at the bookstore sometime soon.
I've been popping in and out of the computer world myself these past few weeks, so it's no bother. YOu can take as much time as you like.
